Dear Melva Davis Families and Community Members,

 

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I extend a heartfelt greeting to all our returning families and a warm welcome to those who are new to our school community. Whether this is your first year with us or your child is entering their final year of middle school, we are honoured to partner with you during this important chapter in your child’s educational journey.

At Melva Davis Academy of Excellence, we believe middle school is a pivotal time of exploration, growth, and discovery. Our mission is to empower every student to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Through rigorous and engaging instruction, a nurturing school culture, and a focus on the whole child, we strive to create a learning environment where students are not only challenged but also supported every step of the way.

This school year, we are excited to build upon our foundation of excellence with a renewed focus on:

  • Academic Innovation: Our teachers are committed to providing high-quality, standards-based instruction while integrating technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications that make learning meaningful and relevant.

Throughout the year, we will offer a variety of ways for you to get involved—from volunteering and parent advisory groups to family nights and community events. Your voice and partnership are invaluable to our success.
